The Call

Been posting music and memories for 30 days straight on FB. So many people have been asking questions and so many had never heard of Keith. Before I share one of my posts, I just want to say Thank YOU to Melody for continuing on. Obviously, he was not alone in his strength and conviction. I cherish you and the whole LDM family. Here's my story:
Today's remembrance of Keith Green: The Call. No, not the call to worship, repent or action, but a literal phone call. The ministry was growing so quickly that more people were needed to staff the facility. LDM magazine put out an issue that asked anyone who felt like they could help to write. I have no idea what was in my letter, but I got a call from Keith one night and was asked to come. My stay was very brief and I hope that my teeny, tiny contribution helped in some way. Speaking with him was an experience I will always call a blessing. He was serious and not looking for anyone who was ga-ga about him. It was NEVER about him. He was funny and made me very comfortable. The passion I had heard from the stage and in recordings was magnified a million times in our conversation. I still carry that passion in my heart. Keith was killed not long after. I cherish Last Days Ministries, the entire staff and my memory of Keith today is deeply personal, but I wanted you who have followed these posts to know that he was just a man - a talented man, but just a man who did what he thought he had to do. He was no different from the apostles...and no different from you. Seek a leading in your life and find the courage to GO. Who knows what may become of it? Look at what this one man's obedience has done to glorify God. Maybe you are the one to change the world for the better.
